Happy International Women’s Day. Yesterday, was a tremendous victory for women everywhere when President Obama passed the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). This historic change will help us take on the challenges of tomorrow and will provide protections for LGBT victims of violence, better prevention and education programs for sexual assault on university campuses and expanded services for victims of sexual assault and more. We’re making wonderful advancements and I’m proud of our progress!
